There were lots of family hugs and the right amount of boy shenanigans during the Hauff’s annual portrait session last fall. So much love and SO MUCH RUNNING. My favorite kind of session.

I love morning portrait sessions in the summer. Dewy grass, a cool breeze, and the warm golden light is a fabulous way to start the day (just so long as I've had my coffee ;) ). As a bonus, I often find that younger kids are the happiest in the morning. A win-win for all involved.

Every few years, I'm lucky enough to photograph the awesome Stone family. Friendly, welcoming, and ever-so-goofy, this crew is always so fun to photograph and we always have a great time.

It's hard to believe it's been a year since I photographed the awesome Thomsen family's annual portrait session. With their 2020 session on the books, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite images from last summer. Better late than never, right? ;)

I've had a blast photographing three-year-old kiddos lately, and I'm not going to lie... It's one of my favorite ages. Three-year-olds know EXACTLY who they are and they're not afraid to show it. You never quite know what you'll get, but you do know it will be a solid adventure.

When I first met Katie & Nick a few years ago when photographing their wedding, I knew in my heart of hearts they were going to be terrific parents someday. It's true. Their kindness, wholesome nature, drive, and ability to find joy in the "every day" stood out to me then, and it still does now.

Sweet summer baby Marley just celebrated her very first birthday a couple of weeks ago! Earlier in June, I photographed her (and her awesome parents) at her home in Fargo as a bit a pre-celebration. We had so much fun.

My lovely cousin Holly will soon welcome her third baby girl into the world (if she hasn't already!). If her two big sisters are any indication, this baby girl will be chock full of personality, energy, and just a bit of sass.
