Cally Jo + Mikael: The Wedding

Where does one even begin when describing the awesomeness of Cally Jo and Mikael? They are humble, genuine, fun, crazy good-looking, joy-filled and not to mention the loveliest couple you ever did meet. It was no surprise that their October wedding day matched this charming couple to a tee.Surrounded by their friends and family, Cally and Mikael were married at Cally Jo's family farm north of Jamestown, North Dakota. I arrived in the early afternoon to photograph Cally Jo as she slipped into her gorgeous wedding dress.Cally Jo was so excited to see her husband-to-be. It's safe to say, Mikael was pretty excited to see his bride too.I did say they are crazy good-looking, right?We had a limited time for bridal party portraits as Cally and Mikael wanted to spend the majority of the day being themselves around the people they love. That said, these bridesmaids and groomsmen ROCKED our limited time.Oh, and kids. SO MANY KIDS!Hanging out before the ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. This crew had a lot of fun!Cally Jo's father passed away a few years ago so Cally asked her brother to walk her down the aisle.They had a lovely ceremony under blue, clear skies.After the ceremony, I snuck away with the couple to take a few portraits . We were all surprised to witness a quick fireworks display which left gorgeous haze in the October sky.So many lovely details!Cally Jo and Mikael's celebration continued in the large steel barn.Followed by the dance featuring the music of the amazing country band October Road. What a nice cap to this fantastic day!
