Welcome to my new blog!

Yep, you read it right. I started a new blog… in 2022.

I’m aware that blogs have become an internet antique. And to that I say: I’m almost 40. I’m an ancient millennial. I’m over the slog of social media and actually voicing my thoughts verbally via a podcast is terrifying. Nope, old-fashioned written words supplemented by a photo or two… that’s my jam.

But…why?

Sometimes I find it hard to believe I’ve worked as a professional photographer for over seventeen years and a business owner for a full decade. Since the beginning I’ve soaked up the stories of my fellow creative entprenuers and learned so much from them. Just knowing that other people are going through similar struggles and learning how they work through them has been so valuable.

With some big changes to my business on the horizon, I thought this was a great time to start sharing my own journey (and maybe a wisdom nugget or two). It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a few years, and I hope it helps other business owners navigate their own business adventures.

What you can expect

Britta in Business will mostly be musings on my experience in business with some updates on what’s going on in my business + personal life (because we all know they can be so interconnected). I’ll share my perspective as a midwest creative who often has no idea what she is doing (but pushes through anyway).
