Penny of The Beautabode

Isn’t it lovely when a hobby you love becomes a business you adore? That’s exactly what happened to Penny Burns when after a couple of years of making one-of-a-kind earrings for favorite gal-pals, she officially started selling to a broader audience.

Penny works with polymer clay and brass fittings to create her lightweight, retro-modern creations. She favors simple, organic shapes paired with vibrant, happy colors.

Like her jewelry, Penny’s brand is light and joyful, so we wanted to make sure to keep her imagery upbeat and bright. Working in my natural light studio, we brought in some pinks and wood tones to create a “workspace” to match her happy vibe. During her UnStuffy session, we gathered loads of headshots, some product images, and images at work so she can better tell her story via social media.
