Hailey + Scott's Minnesota Country Wedding
Hailey first entered my life as a teenager when, at age 14, she became a foster child to my good friends Jennifer and Erik. Sweet and slightly feisty (in the best way possible), Hailey fast became an integral part of their household. And after a few months, it was no surprise when Jennifer told me they had started the process to adopt her.
It was the best news.
Over the years, It's been really fun to watch Hailey blossom into the awesome adult she is today. She is so full of kindness, good humor, and joy and she's proven to be an outstanding mother to her two, beautiful daughters.
Now, disclaimer, Jennifer and I belong to a pretty robust group of college friends and we talk about EV-ER-Y-THING. About a year or so ago, Jennifer started to mention this dude, Scott, who had gleefully jumped into the role of daddio to Hailey's kiddos. Skeptical at first (because we are fierce mom-warriors), we were reassured by Jennifer who vouched for his great-guyness.
Then... we blinked... and they became engaged.
They planned a simple outdoor wedding for Fall 2020 and on October 3, they tied the knot on Jennifer's and Erik's hobby farm near St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Because of Covid and general craziness of life, I didn't get a chance to meet Scott until their wedding day. But, I gotta say, he's a stand-up guy. He loves the heck outta Hailey and her girls. He's already the best dad.
I wish these two ALL the happiness and I was so happy I was able to document their day for them.
